Belayneh Densamo is an Ethiopian former long-distance runner, and a long-period world record holder for the marathon discipline. He held the world record for 10 years (1988-1998). Belayneh Dinsamo (Ethiopia) set the men's marathon world record of 2:06:50 in Rotterdam Marathon on April 17, 1988. It stood 10.4 years, until Ronaldo da Costa's 2:06:05 on September 20, 1998.
