Tropical Storm Alberto was a broad but short-lived tropical cyclone that affected portions of Mexico and the U.S. states of Texas and Louisiana during June 2024. The first named storm of the extremely active 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, Alberto originated on June 12 from a broad area of disturbed weather resulting from a Central American Gyre feature that later developed into an area of low pressure in the Bay of Campeche.
