About
“4X4” is Travis Scott’s well-anticipated first solo effort since the release of UTOPIA in 2023. The track, given namesake by his four-wheel drive Lamborghini Urus, fuses trap production with Tennessee State University’s horn line. Following suit with some of Travis' most notable cuts, he also references his drug habits and exclusive wardrobe. Travis first previewed the track at a club in Mexico City, Mexico on September 23, 2024. It was performed live for the first time in Auckland, New Zealand on October 30, and later at Rolling Loud Miami on December 14. On November 15, an advertisement for the song by ComplexCon appeared on the Las Vegas Sphere. On January 6, 2025, Travis previewed the song once again, this time on Instagram Live, and on WWE Monday Night RAW on Netflix as it serves as it’s official theme song. On January 18, the cover art was posted on Travis' Instagram story. The song was performed live on January 20, 2025 during the halftime performance in the College Football Playoff National Championship game, with the official pre-save link and CD single for purchase alongside Los Angeles Fire Department themed merchandise, with 100% of the proceeds going to the LAFD fighting the devastating fires in California.
