“My All” is Mariah Carey’s 3rd track on her Butterfly album. It is also the 13th track on her third compilation album, #1 to Infinty. In the album credits, she wrote that it was the first time she “fell in love with love”. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 on May 23, 1998, making it Mariah’s 13th #1 hit on the charts. In August 2020, Carey revealed the inspiration behind the song was her relationship with the then-New York Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter. She states that the song is about her genuinely having to risk her life to have another night in Puerto Rico with Jeter.
