On October 10, 2025, a doublet earthquake consisting of two events measuring Mw 7.4 and 6.7–6.8 struck eastern Mindanao in the Philippines. Both events raised tsunami warnings for seven provinces in the Philippines and parts of Indonesia, with minor tsunami waves observed. Thousands of aftershocks were recorded.
