☄️ Draconids · peak Oct 7 · ~10/hr · 🌕 moon 99%
Saturday, October 6, 1900
– October 10, 1900
All day
Peak: October 7, 1900, around 18:00 UTC — up to about 10 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 99% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Draco; the debris is from Comet Giacobini–Zinner. Usually quiet, but it has stormed, when the Earth crossed fresh trails of its comet.
