☄️ Draconids · peak Oct 7 · ~10/hr · 🌔 moon 85%

Friday, October 6, 1916 – October 10, 1916 All day

Peak: October 7, 1916, around 20:00 UTC — up to about 10 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 85% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Draco; the debris is from Comet Giacobini–Zinner. Usually quiet, but it has stormed, when the Earth crossed fresh trails of its comet.
