☄️ Draconids · peak Oct 9 · ~10/hr · 🌕 moon 99%

Friday, October 6, 2079 – October 10, 2079 All day

Peak: October 9, 2079, around 15:00 UTC — up to about 10 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 99% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Draco; the debris is from Comet Giacobini–Zinner. Usually quiet, but it has stormed, when the Earth crossed fresh trails of its comet.
