Tuesday, December 4, 1928 – December 20, 1928 All day

Peak: December 13, 1928, around 10:00 UTC — up to about 150 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 1% lit: a dark sky: a good year for the Geminids. Meteors seem to come from Gemini; the debris is from asteroid 3200 Phaethon. The year's richest shower, with many bright meteors, visible from both hemispheres.
