☄️ Geminids · peak Dec 13 · ~150/hr · 🌕 moon 100%

Sunday, December 4, 1932 – December 20, 1932 All day

Peak: December 13, 1932, around 11:00 UTC — up to about 150 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 100% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Gemini; the debris is from asteroid 3200 Phaethon. The year's richest shower, with many bright meteors, visible from both hemispheres.
