☄️ Leonids · peak Nov 16 · ~15/hr · 🌔 moon 66%

Sunday, November 6, 1904 – November 30, 1904 All day

Peak: November 16, 1904, around 17:00 UTC — up to about 15 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 66% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Leo; the debris is from Comet Tempel–Tuttle. Every 33 years or so, near its comet's return, the Leonids can storm with thousands an hour.
