☄️ Leonids · peak Nov 17 · ~15/hr · 🌕 moon 98%

Wednesday, November 6, 1918 – November 30, 1918 All day

Peak: November 17, 1918, around 07:00 UTC — up to about 15 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 98% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Leo; the debris is from Comet Tempel–Tuttle. Every 33 years or so, near its comet's return, the Leonids can storm with thousands an hour.
