☄️ Leonids · peak Nov 17 · ~15/hr · 🌗 moon 36%

Sunday, November 6, 1927 – November 30, 1927 All day

Peak: November 17, 1927, around 14:00 UTC — up to about 15 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 36% lit: some moonlight, which will hide the fainter meteors. Meteors seem to come from Leo; the debris is from Comet Tempel–Tuttle. Every 33 years or so, near its comet's return, the Leonids can storm with thousands an hour.
