☄️ Quadrantids · peak Jan 3 · ~80/hr · 🌕 moon 99%

Thursday, December 28, 1911 – January 12, 1912 All day

Peak: January 3, 1912, around 15:00 UTC — up to about 80 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 99% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Boötes; the debris is from asteroid 2003 EH1. A sharp peak of only a few hours, best seen from the Northern Hemisphere.
