☄️ Quadrantids · peak Jan 2 · ~80/hr · 🌘 moon 19%

Saturday, December 28, 1912 – January 12, 1913 All day

Peak: January 2, 1913, around 21:00 UTC — up to about 80 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 19% lit: a dark sky: a good year for the Quadrantids. Meteors seem to come from Boötes; the debris is from asteroid 2003 EH1. A sharp peak of only a few hours, best seen from the Northern Hemisphere.
