☄️ Quadrantids · peak Jan 3 · ~80/hr · 🌑 moon 4%

Tuesday, December 28, 1915 – January 12, 1916 All day

Peak: January 3, 1916, around 16:00 UTC — up to about 80 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 4% lit: a dark sky: a good year for the Quadrantids. Meteors seem to come from Boötes; the debris is from asteroid 2003 EH1. A sharp peak of only a few hours, best seen from the Northern Hemisphere.
