☄️ Quadrantids · peak Jan 3 · ~80/hr · 🌘 moon 21%

Wednesday, December 28, 2072 – January 12, 2073 All day

Peak: January 3, 2073, around 22:00 UTC — up to about 80 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 21% lit: a dark sky: a good year for the Quadrantids. Meteors seem to come from Boötes; the debris is from asteroid 2003 EH1. A sharp peak of only a few hours, best seen from the Northern Hemisphere.
