☄️ Taurids · peak Nov 7 · ~5/hr · 🌕 moon 99%

Sunday, September 10, 1911 – December 10, 1911 All day

Peak: November 7, 1911, around 07:00 UTC — up to about 5 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 99% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Taurus; the debris is from Comet Encke. Few but slow and bright, known for fireballs — the Southern and Northern Taurids together.
