☄️ Ursids · peak Dec 23 · ~10/hr · 🌔 moon 85%

Thursday, December 17, 2099 – December 26, 2099 All day

Peak: December 23, 2099, around 15:00 UTC — up to about 10 meteors an hour under a dark sky. The Moon will be 85% lit: a bright Moon, which will wash out all but the brightest meteors. Meteors seem to come from Ursa Minor; the debris is from Comet Tuttle. A modest shower near the December solstice, for the Northern Hemisphere.
