The 2025 Utah Utes football team represented the University of Utah during the 2025 NCAA Division I FBS football season in their second year as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They won 11 games led by Kyle Whittingham in what ended up being his final year as their head coach after 21 years. The Utes played 6 home games at Rice–Eccles Stadium located in Salt Lake City. The 2025 team ended the season ranked #14 in both the AP and Coaches Polls. Their exciting comeback against Kansas State was later ranked #10 in a ranking of the top 100 games of 2025. Offensive lineman Spencer Fano was a unanimous all-American and won the Outland Trophy among other accolades. Fano was subsequently selected as the 9th pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns, while his teammate, fellow tackle, Caleb Lomu, was chosen as the 28th player of the first round, by the New England Patriots in the same draft. On December 12, Whittingham announced that he would be stepping down as the Utes' head coach following the Las Vegas Bowl.
