The Sun enters Aries (the Ram, a fire sign) on March 21, 1923 at 15:29 UTC — ecliptic longitude 0°. These are the signs of the tropical zodiac, measured from the March equinox. Precession has moved them about one constellation since they were named: the Sun is in front of Pisces for much of Aries.
