The Sun enters Scorpio (the Scorpion, a water sign) on October 24, 1923 at 10:44 UTC — ecliptic longitude 210°. These are the signs of the tropical zodiac, measured from the March equinox. Precession has moved them about one constellation since they were named: the Sun is in front of Libra for much of Scorpio.
