The Sun enters Scorpio (the Scorpion, a water sign) on October 23, 1928 at 15:53 UTC — ecliptic longitude 210°. These are the signs of the tropical zodiac, measured from the March equinox. Precession has moved them about one constellation since they were named: the Sun is in front of Libra for much of Scorpio.
