The Sun enters Taurus (the Bull, a earth sign) on April 21, 1911 at 05:30 UTC — ecliptic longitude 30°. These are the signs of the tropical zodiac, measured from the March equinox. Precession has moved them about one constellation since they were named: the Sun is in front of Aries for much of Taurus.
